Campus Manager & Educational Leader
My name is Karina and I have been given this great opportunity to join the already fabulous team as the Campus Manager to further develop and support the children, families and educators within this Leadership role.
I have explored every aspect of the sector and have found my love working in a management role supporting children, families and early childhood educators/teachers. I hold my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and am looking at further studying within the sector.
I have been given an amazing opportunity here to learn and grow professionally within a gorgeous family owned service. I am extremely responsive to the evolving nature of change and enjoy the challenge to help support these beautiful children to flourish within the community with every possible opportunity.
I spend a lot of my time with my little family and friends having BBQs, exploring new places and being in the moment with the people who mean the absolute most. I love music, sunflowers, shopping, crystals, indoor plants, redecorating and scrapbooking. My family and I love riding or walking to be near the water, bushwalking, mini holidays around Queensland and trying new food.
We have just started to do up a little tinny and cannot wait for the adventures and fishing to be had. I will ensure that all of the families and children here at Cooinda experience and feel a sense of 'belonging' – knowing where and with whom you belong. I feel by developing responsive, warm, trusting and respectful relationships with children, you promote children's wellbeing, self-esteem and sense of security.
As a member of this already evolving and passionate team, I will need to sensitively monitor, support and guide children's interactions with others as they explore their own identities and develop more complex social skills and relationships. I can’t wait to meet you all and grow, flourish and take this service to exciting and new places throughout our community.
Assistant Campus Manager & Educational Leader
Hi, My name is Mel and I am inspiring our Educators here at Cooinda Early Learning to be the best they can be for the next generations!
I began my Early learning journey as a volunteer and realised my passion to work within the sector. I have completed my studies in Early Childhood Education & Care and have been a part of the sector for approximately 20 years. Working in the sector, I am passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives, watching them develop, grow and succeed into the amazing little human beings that they are.
I value early childhood education as the foundation for lifelong learning. I believe that each child is a unique individual and should be viewed, respected and treated as such. The wellbeing of each child is paramount. Therefore I strive to provide holistic support for each child’s exclusive needs and interests in a secure, caring, nurturing, familiar and supportive environment that fosters children’s development across all developmental areas. I aim to provide a welcoming, engaging and stimulating environment that provides each child with the opportunity to learn, play and grow no matter their age or skill level. I actively work to support the full inclusion of all children. I will strive to create an environment where all educators feel supported, encouraged and involved. Educators should work together as a team and respect one another’s views. I believe in teamwork and continuous support from within the team. I look forward to further engaging and getting to know all of our Cooinda Early Learning family, ensuring each child has the right to engage in learning experiences that are meaningful and significant, fostering each child’s agency. There is nothing more special than seeing the smiles on the children's faces as they make discoveries and share special achievements. I am the youngest of 5 children. I brought half of my parents' house so they could retire. My favourite thing to do is cuddle my dog, Millie.
She doesn't even know she is a dog and waits for me to get home every afternoon. Cannot wait to meet all the families of Cooinda.

I love camping! If you haven't been to the tip of Australia, I recommend you plan a trip! So many amazing places to see! I am a big chatterbox not going to lie, but I'm also super friendly, funny, easy-going and down to earth.
I aim to implement an environment that reflects both individual and group needs, as well as one that promotes each child’s; strengths, interests, cultures, learning, development and individuality through play. I look forward to meeting all the families and building a professional relationship with you.

Early Childhood Educator
I believe that as an educator, a child’s individualism and uniqueness should be embraced and nurtured through observing and listening, to gain an understanding of who your child is.
Making a child feel heard and included by providing opportunities to expand their experiences and to tailor learning opportunities for a child’s needs.
I have always been interested in child development and believe that celebrating a child’s uniqueness builds confidence and self-acceptance and courage to achieve anything.
Early Childhood Educator
Hi, my name is Miss Nita, I have been in the early learning sector for six years and have hands on experience across the board. I believe in supporting all children's individual needs and interests in life.
Nurturing them through everyday experiences and enhancing learning in our early years. I am a very understanding and approachable educator who looks forward to getting to know and build professional relationships with families. I have 2 beautiful children 9 and 6, who have been an amazing support to my goals in life, I am very proud of my children as everyone will all get to see.
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR
I hold my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and have been in the sector for 13 years.
I believe my role as an educator and my most positive strength is providing all children with a loving, safe environment where they can learn and grow to their fullest potential and build positive, trusting relationships. I believe children learn through play. This provides opportunities for children to explore, discover, create and imagine. I believe that children learn and grow best in a positive learning environment where they feel confident and comfortable to engage in learning.
Early Childhood Educator (Lead)
Hi families, my name is Tamara. I have had my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care for seven years. |
Most of a child’s brain development happens before the age of 5 and that’s why I’m passionate about the early years.
Being able to be a part of that and provide a safe and loving environment, is very rewarding for me. I’m always learning in this job and improving as an educator every day.
Early Childhood Teacher
I have always believed that families are our children's first teachers and it is our role as Early Childhood professionals to work in partnership with families to set the foundation for children's learning.
I believe that children learn best when engaged in play. Play based learning occurs through a child's natural interest in their learning environments and the outdoor classroom is just as important as the indoor classroom and I can not wait to meet and support all our new little learners.
Early Childhood Teacher, LEAD EDUCATOR
Hi, my name is Natalie but I prefer Nat, I am turning 23 this year. I have been working in the early learning (childcare) sector since 2015. I have my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and am studying for my Diploma. I am engaged and we have a young daughter.
I also have a pet Dog, 2 Snakes and 2 Geckos. My fiancé and I love to travel to waterfalls and go on bush walks on weekends when the weather permits. When I had the opportunity to study for my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care in high school, I jumped at it. While I was doing my work experience I had the best time.
I was putting paint on a child’s hand and helping them press it onto a piece of paper, when the child took their hand off and saw their blue handprint on the paper, the face they made has stuck with me forever and it became my “why” and therefore the reason I pursued this as my career. I cannot wait to make great connections with all of the Cooinda children and families!
Early Childhood Educator – Trainee
Hi, my name is Amber and I have joined the Cooinda team as a trainee, studying my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. I became passionate about the early years through spending my time with nieces and nephews, also my mum Miss Mel has spent her many professional years within the early childhood sector herself.
As an early childhood educator, I believe I have the opportunity to support the development and growth of each child. I like Howard Gardeners' theory about multiple intelligences that every child learns in their way. I am all about creating new and exciting experiences to guide every child to reach their full potential. I believe children learn through collaboration and communication with other children and adults and through interacting with the environment.
Children need opportunities to practice and consolidate their skills in key learning areas including language and literacy; creative and expressive arts; mathematics; science and social and emotional development and work towards learning outcomes as expressed in the Early Years Learning Framework, (EYLF) – ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming. I strive to provide a rich, stimulating, and nurturing environment that has the potential to stimulate imagination, promote creativity and enhance aesthetic development.
I look forward to leading the way, therefore I will implement a flexible program that is responsive to the evolving nature of the early childhood environment that provides for different learning styles. Make observations of children and document their work to form the basis of the program. Use both the indoor and outdoor environment to encourage the children’s ability to observe, perceive, explore, investigate, imagine, make choices and problem solve.
Introduce children to a wide range of social and cultural experiences, family types and different ways of doing things so they will learn to value diversity, learn to accept challenges they may face and become fully realised members of our Cooinda community.
